yb_maintenance_max_duration_s (integer)

• Default value (as of this release): 3600 seconds (1 hour)

Sets the maximum wall-clock duration for a maintenance session. Valid units are "ms", "s", "min", "h", and "d".

If a run exceeds this duration, the ALTER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE START process stops gracefully and resumes paused services.

This limit helps ensure that maintenance jobs do not overlap with regular workloads or remain active indefinitely.

Increase this value for large instances or when running infrequent, full catalog cleanups.
