Create your first data warehouse instance
Now you are ready to create your first Yellowbrick instance:
For information about shared services options, see Creating a New Stack.
When you create instances, you can request the creation of database storage, which means that Yellowbrick will create an S3 bucket for that purpose. If you plan to use your own S3 bucket to store underlying table data (data loaded into tables), you can do that by deselecting the Create initial external storage option under Settings.
See also Create a Primary Storage Bucket.
Note: The default time zone for data warehouse instances is set to UTC
(timezone
and log_timezone
configuration parameters).
After creating an instance, you will be prompted to create a cluster. You will also need to create additional roles and users. For details about instances, clusters, and roles, see the main product documentation.
