Preparing for a New Installation
This section explains how to prepare to install and run Yellowbrick software in an Azure VNet. The installer creates various objects in order to deploy Yellowbrick services in your account. Prior to starting the install, you need to make sure your Azure account is set up correctly, acquire Azure quotas and resources, and do some network configuration.
You can do a public network install into a new VNet that the installer creates for you, or a private network install into an existing VNet you provide before starting the installation. For example, your organization may have a hub-to-spoke environment, in which the "hub VNet" is at the corporate level, and a number of private "spoke VNets" are created for individual applications, such as Yellowbrick. In this scenario, you can access the spoke VPC only via a connection to the hub VNet.
Important: If you are going to create your own VNet for the express purpose of installing and running Yellowbrick inside a private network, the VNet must adhere to a number of prerequisites, as described under Prerequisites for Private Network Installs. These prerequisites are configurable items that must be provisioned before the Yellowbrick installer is run.
